We celebrated Father's Day with Jamaal's dad,his step-mother, and her family. We went to Scott's restaurant in Jack London Square for brunch. After we ordered, a reporter approached our table of 12 and asked if she could interview the fathers on camera for a Father's Day segment that would air on the KTVU news that evening. She spoke with each father, including grandfathers, fathers, a new father and the father-to-be Jamaal. They were so funny, they didn't really want to be interviewed, but as soon as the camera came on, so did each one of them and they delievered great sound bytes for the segment. Jamaal's question that got on air was "What's the best advice you've received from all of these men in your family about fatherhood?" He replied, "Do what your wife says and stay outta the way!" So eloquent. LOL
The segment aired on the 5:00 news and the 10:00 news. A lot of people saw it, we were surprised, and they did a great job putting the piece together. We've got it on our DVR, so if you're at our house we'll show it to you!
